The University Interscholastic League (UIL) heard three schools for a change of districts in the new 2022-24 realignment period.

Forsan was the only successful team to have their appeal approved by the UIL and will move to 7-2A, a district that accommodates them more easier when it comes to travel.

With the new change, 6-2A now becomes a four-team district with Anthony, Fort Hancock, McCamey and Midland TLC Academy.

7-2A stretches to be a eight-team district with the new addition of the Buffaloes and Lady Buffs, who just missed out on the 2022 playoffs.

San Antonio Alamo Heights, who were appealing to move into 26-5A with Boerne Champion, New Braunfels Canyon, Kerrville Tivy and San Antonio Wagner to name a few notable teams, their hearing was rejected and will remain in 27-5A with the San Antonio ISD schools.

Winona also saw their hearing rejected as the Wildcats were seeking a move to 15-3A with both Gladewater schools, Daingerfield, New Diana, Hughes Springs and White Oak. They will remain in 13-3A, which is the current district as of now.
