A total of five basketball programs will be looking to find a new district home as they look to appeal in front of the University Interscholastic League (UIL).

The District Assignment Appeals Committee of the UIL will convene at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20 to hear schools appeal for the new potential district placement.

As this move pertains to both boys and girls basketball, the move will take immediate effect, if approved by the UIL.

Teams had the opportunity to move to another district, if voted by the majority of the district they were placed in on Feb. 1.

Last realignment cycle, only one team was approved for a district move by the UIL.
